The APT team gathered in August to celebrate Alan Murphys remarkable 20 years of service with the Centre for Industrial Services and Design (CISD) and APT.

Alan has been at the heart of this journey and played a pivotal role in supporting hundreds of Irish companies over the years – offering deep technical knowledge, unwavering commitment, and a collaborative spirt that continues to shape the Irish manufacturing and innovation landscape. His work has empowered companies to bring products from idea to implementation and strengthened CISD’s role within the Irish Industrial and manufacturing ecosystem.

🏗️Over the past two decades, CISD has expanded its services and capabilities significantly. Now embedded within the PRISM Research Institute at Technological University of the Shannon, and operating as part of the Analytical & Testing sector in Applied Polymer Technologies (APT), CISD continues to

✅ Collaborate with startups and multinationals alike
✅ Support sustainable product development
✅ Enhance design for manufacture capability
✅ Drive closer industry – research collaboration
